Deutsche Grammophon and the Chopin Institute have collaborated to bring you an early look at a live recording of the first prize winner at the competition. Clemens Trautmann, President of Deutsche Grammophon, said, "We are delighted to be working with the Chopin Institute to introduce a rising star of the classical world.Music fans around the world were captivated at each stage of this year's International Chopin Piano Competition, and all can congratulate Bruce Liu for his outstanding performances over the past few weeks. The powerful emotion and extraordinary beauty of Chopin's art speaks deeply to young musicians. That is why we believe it is so important to share these recordings of the Chopin Competition." Dr. Artur Sklenner, Director of the Chopin Institute, noted that the multi-media presentation of the entire competition has been met with virtual enthusiasm. He added, "Our ongoing cooperation with Deutsche Grammophon is important not only for promoting the performances of our wonderful young artists, but also for reaching newcomers to Chopin through the Competition's website and through our media partners. We consider this recording, recorded in the heated atmosphere of the Competition, to be an important part of our mission to promote Chopin's music throughout the world.
