Animal Collective's Panda Bear releases its long-awaited new album "Sinister Grift", its first new album in 5 years! A culmination and innovative work featuring all members of Animal Collective! Panda Bear, the solo project of Noah Lennox, a core member of Animal Collective and known as a rare melody maker, has released an album "Sinister Grift" on the Domino label. The album was recorded at his home studio "Estudio Campo" in Lisbon, Portugal, and was co-produced with Josh Dibb, aka Deeken, also a member of Animal Collective. The first single, "Defense," was released to coincide with the album's release, and features Cindy Lee on guitar, a project of Canadian musician Patrick Flagel. This song will also be released in a very limited 7" format with another song "Virginia Tech" on the B-side.In the 20 years since his debut as a drummer and vocalist with Animal Collective, Noah Lennox has continued to produce work through a variety of styles and has been involved in many well-loved musical works in addition to his Anikore and solo work. As such, the coherence of his creative vision is sometimes overlooked, but it has been a long time coming, from important works such as his 2007 solo album Person Pitch and 2015's Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper, to his Animal Collective From breakthroughs such as 2004's Sung Tongs and 2009's Merriweather Post Pavilion to innovative collaborations with Daft Punk, Solange, Dean Brandt, Paramore, Jamie xx, and others, his work has been consistently and clearly axial. his work has consistently had a clear axis and has influenced many artists across generations and genres.Sinister Grift is Panda Bear's first solo album in five years, and it is both the culmination of his career to date and a work of innovation. His solo work has ranged from deeply sorrowful to colorful, electronic epics, but never before has his sound been so warm and immediate. Working with his Animal Collective bandmate Josh Dibb, aka Deeken, in his home studio in Portugal, he has created a new album that sounds as if Panda Bear has been transformed into an old-school rock ensemble. While playing almost all the instruments themselves, the band has invited comrades such as the aforementioned Cindy Lee and Rivka Ravede of Spirit of the Beehive, and this is the first solo album to feature all the other members of Animal Collective.
