Description:

The latest reissue of "Pictures at an Exhibition" and others, one of the best performances of Kegel's cool-headedness. Also included are Lovicki's hidden masterpiece "Scythiai" and others! World's first SACD release! Mastered only in the analog domain and converted directly to DSD! The 27th SACD hybridization of the latest reissue project of ETERNA's original analog tapes in Japan, starting with "One Night on the Bald Mountain," one of the few session recordings by Ohan Durian, whose live recording has been newly discovered, followed by the 1960 recording of Kegel's "Pictures at an Exhibition," one of the most famous performances of this piece. The newest SACD hybrid release is a newly coupled album of two Mussulgsky works, starting with "Pictures at an Exhibition," one of the few recordings of this piece by Durian, and including two new recordings of Prokofiev's "Love for Three Oranges" Suite, also by Kegel, and the rare ETERNA "Scythian Suite" under the direction of Lovicki. Both recordings were made in the early stereo era in the 1960s, but were digitized from the original high-quality analog master tapes, so the crystal-clear sound of those days is still intact. The high sound quality of the recordings will allow you to relive the magnificence of each performance. The main piece, "Pictures at an Exhibition," is one of the most unique performances of this piece among the many recordings of the same piece. This is one of the most unique performances among the many recordings of the piece. It is well-known as a performance that is typical of Kegel, but the extremely objective interpretation, clad in a certain cool-headedness, will sound fresh when you hear it for the first time. The reason for this thoroughness is largely due to the historical significance, Kegel's sensitivity, and the recordings made at the time, but the dry performance is still very appealing even today. This kind of raw sound is even more amazing in high quality sound. (1/2)
