The Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, the orchestra of Borusan Holdings, a large Turkish company based in Istanbul. The third album by the combination of Getzel and the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic is Rimsky=Korsakov's famous suite "Scheherazade"! The third album with Getzel and the Bolsan Istanbul Philharmonic features Rimsky-Korsakov's famous suite "Scheherazade" and the oriental fantasy "Islamei" by Milly Balakirev (1837-1910), the leader of the Russian quintet, orchestrated by Lyapunov. Two pieces from Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov's (1859-1935) popular "Caucasian Landscapes," including the especially famous "Procession of the Chiefs. The rich program includes a suite of Turkish dances, "Kocekce," by Ulvi Gemal Erkin (1906-1972), one of the leading composers of modern and contemporary Turkey. Sascha Goetzel has been the principal guest conductor of the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra since 2013 after his first collaboration with the orchestra in 2007, and has since toured Japan every year, establishing his reputation and recognition in Japan.Following Respighi's "Queen of Sheba" and Bartok's "The Wonderful Chinese Official," the third installment will also showcase Goetzel's strong personality and talent.
