Long-awaited by fans! Steinbacher finally recorded Bach's Violin Concerto! A great program with Pärt at both ends! Arabella Miho Steinbacher is a beautiful violinist who is both popular and talented. The New York Times said, "A balance of lyricism and passion - her strengths lie above all in her finely honed technique and beautifully versatile tone. This album features J.S. Bach's Violin Concerto and two works by Pärt, backed by the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra. The beauty and depth of Bach's music overwhelmed him and led him to become a violinist. He has frequently performed Bach's concertos as his most important repertoire, and has finally made a recording of them. The Doppel Concerto is performed by Christoph Koncz. Koncz is a violinist known for his role as the child prodigy Kaspar Weiss (then 9 years old) in the Academy Award-winning Canadian film "Red Violin. He is currently the principal second violinist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and is also actively engaged in solo activities. The musical dialogue between the two virtuosos is also attractive, and they play at a comfortable tempo from start to finish. Another attraction of this album is Pärt.Steinbacher's taste is also evident, as he places "Fratres" at the beginning and "Mirror in the Mirror" at the end, as if they were prologues and epilogues. Pärt's two works are essential repertoire for the modern violinist. Steinbacher recorded the "Fratres" with Ayano Shimada for television during her visit to Japan in June 2021, and it was broadcast on NHK's Classic Club. The music of Bach and Pärt may be different, but they share a sacred origin. Their music reminds me of myself and gives me peace every time I listen to it or play it.
