A wonderful expression of the colorful ethnic colors! Izzy Barta, a master musician, takes on the challenge of an all Janacek program! Izzy (Ilzy) Bárta, one of the Czech Republic's leading cellists, recorded the complete Beethoven cello sonatas (ANI-101) with Teresie Fialová in the 2021 Corona Disaster to great acclaim. The new release by the same duo is an all-Janacek program on LP. The album also includes the famous Sonata, Dumka, and Romance written for violin and piano. The violin part was arranged for cello by Bartha, and this is the world premiere recording of the arranged version. Janacek composed the Dumka and Romance while studying in Leipzig. The classical and romantic style of these works, which are typical of his early works, is more poignant and melancholy when heard on the cello. The Violin Sonata was composed in 1913. The final version was published in 1922. It later became Janacek's masterpiece. In this recording, the tonality and the piano part are left unchanged, but the violin part is arranged one octave lower. From the beginning of the first movement, the piece is played with a colorful oriental scale that has a very strong impact. Bharatha and Fialová express themselves emotionally. Janacek on cello. This is an album release to watch out for! The Adagio JW VII/5 on the CD (ANI-122) is not included on this LP. (King International Inc.)
