He has established a truly original piano style that blends Ethiopian-style pentatonic scales with a unique sense of time and a melancholy expression that is reminiscent of Erik Satie. Mississippi has reissued ultra-rare recordings by the Ethiopian pianist Emahoy Tsege Mariam Gobleu, who was born in 1923 and is highly regarded from an ambient/post-classical perspective. !!!! Compiled from two works, "The Hymn Of Jerusalem, The Jordan River Song" ('72), which does not even appear on the market, and "The Visionary- Piano Solo" ('12), which was released in secret. The "Jerusalem" in particular is one of her best performances. Quand La Mer Furieuse" is the first recording featuring Emma Hoy's voice, and is said to lead to her upcoming vocal album (!), which is currently in preparation. The song will also lead to her vocal album (!) that is currently in preparation. Newly remastered for this album.The weighty jacket, which reproduces the artwork for The Hymn Of Jerusalem, The Jordan River Song, also contains notes on each song written by Emma Hoy herself. the release celebrates Emma Hoy's 99th birthday, which comes in December 2022, and is the prestigious Mississippi's 200th commemorative release.
