BUSH TETRAS, the legendary band that was active in New York City in the early 80's during the no-wave storm, laid the foundation of the riot grrrl scene with Slits and Joan Jett, and resonated with the James Chance-led Contortions, has released their first studio album in 11 years, " This post-punk band of three women and one man released records on the 99 label, famous for ESG, and their sound has been described as "a decade too early fugazi, a female-led gang of four (CMJ)," etc. They have also released a CD and LP, "THEY LIVE IN MY HEAD. The band's sound has been described as "a decade too early fugazi, a female-led gang of four (CMJ)," and has even made Topper Heedon of the Clash go nuts. After drummer DEE POP passed away, SONIC YOUTH's STEVE SHELLEY joined the band as drummer and producer for this recording.
