The three harpsichord concertos, BWV 1052 in D minor and BWV 1056 in F minor, and the Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, in which harpsichord, flute, and violin play solo parts, are Bach's three masterpieces that Janet Sorrell first became fascinated with the harpsichord after hearing them.Sorrell and Apollo's Fire recorded these works between 1999 and 2004, and the 2010 release of the album debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard's Traditional Classical Albums chart. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the recordings, this classic recording has been newly reissued in an Anniversary Edition.
