LORD OF THE LOST, the German industrial gothic/modern rock band that has enjoyed immense popularity—including topping the charts in Germany—has finally released their 12th album, the culmination of a trilogy and a definitive work, in August 2025. Building on the legacy of Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, this album pushes the boundaries of the series even further with heightened creativity and experimentation, expanding upon the band’s signature genre-defying sound. It is particularly striking how heavy guitars, dark electronica, and cinematic orchestration intertwine to create a unique soundscape where gloom and hope coexist. The tracklist begins with “Kill The Lights,” where a cello melody heralds the prologue to darkness, and features a diverse array of guest artists who add further depth to the work, including “I’m a Diamond” featuring Alea of SALTATIO MORTIS, “I Hate People” with WEDNESDAY 13, and “When Did the Love Break?” featuring Ambre Vourvahis of XANDRIA. The closing track, “The Days Of Our Lives,” is a grand ballad reminiscent of a film score, leaving a lingering resonance that seems to deliberately cut off any sense of salvation, powerfully underscoring the conclusion of the trilogy.
