Included in the album. This time it is a collection of works for violin and piano. The three members of the New Vienna School of Music were deeply devoted to and influenced by Brahms. By contrasting their works with Brahms', this is a good project that reveals the progressive nature of Brahms, who is considered to be a classicist. Pina Napolitano was born in Caserta, near Naples. She studied at the Conservatory of Pescara with Bruno Mezzena (father of Franco Mezzena, with whom she will perform this time), a pupil of Michelangeli. He specializes in Liszt, Bartók, Schoenberg, Berg, Webern, etc. He has also released CDs focusing on 20th century music. In addition to his performing activities, he has received many awards for his research on classical and Eastern European culture and linguistics. Franco Mezzena was born in Trento in 1953. He has performed with many artists including Accardo, Damario, Ricci, and Canino. He gives master classes in Italy and abroad. He teaches younger students at the Bruno Mezzena Conservatory, has released over 80 CDs, and has performed with many of the major European orchestras. (Tobu Shoji)
