A member of Young Sag's label, YSL RECORDS, he gained mainstream attention in 2018 when his collaboration number with Lil Baby, "Drip Too Hard," debuted at #4 on the U.S. charts. His debut studio album, "DRIP OR DROWN2," released the following year in 2019, also reached #3 in the U.S. and was certified as a Gold album. Their second studio album, "WUNNA," released in 2020, reached No. 1 in the United States. He is also known as one of the people who popularized the slang term "Drip," and has been attracting a lot of attention as a cultural icon. He has released his first album since "A GIFT & A CURSE" in 2023.Like its predecessor, "ONE OF WUN," GUNNA's fifth album for YSL RECORDS/300 ENTERTAINMENT, features guest artists such as Roddy Rich, Offset, Normani, and Leon Bridges. The album is executive produced by TURBO, known for his work with Young Thug and Travis Scott, and features production by Teddy Walton and Larrance Dopson. As soon as it was released for distribution, it reached #2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums Chart, #1 on the Billboard Top R&B/HIPHOP Chart, and #4 on the UK Albums Chart. The singles "Prada Dem" featuring Offset and "WhatsApp (Wassaam)" were released. Both music videos garnered attention.The album artwork is also by Daniel Arsham, a New York-based contemporary artist who has previously created the artwork for "DS4EVER" and "A GIFT & A CURSE". The result is an exquisite and realistic portrait work. Gunnar has been arrested and imprisoned, and has used his life of adversity as a means of personal and musical growth, and "One of Wun" is an artistic portrait of his attempt to be more creative.
