Tomas Fonesbæk, one of Denmark's best jazz bassists, performed with Enrico Pieranunzi, Rosario Giuliani, Roberto Gatto and other famous jazz musicians on this Italian recording. Valentina Ranalli is a jazz vocalist who sang her own verses to Pieranunzi's songs for her graduation exam at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory, and has since recorded with Pieranunzi. The album consists of a total of 11 originals, 9 by Pieranunzi, 1 by Fonesbek, and 1 by Gatto. Fonesbæk's superb technique, Scandinavian sound, and ability to play cohesive solos are in the same vein as such Danish jazz greats as Nils-Henning Oerstez Pesasen, Bo Stief, and Jesper Lundgaard, but his unique style and ability to move the listener's emotions He has captivated audiences with his unique style and rare ability to move the listener's emotions. In this Rome recording, Enrico Pieranunzi brings a broad background in jazz and classical music, Roberto Gatto's drums show an elegant and sensitive approach, and Rosario Giuliani's saxophone and Valentina Ranalli's vocals add to the musical depth.
