Chopin's masterpiece "24 Preludes" re-created! Valdemosa is a small town on the island of Majorca where Chopin spent time with Georges Sand and completed his "24 Preludes". In 2016, the festival will assign one of each of Chopin's "24 Preludes" to each of 24 contemporary Spanish composers. The project involved assigning one of each of Chopin's "24 Preludes" to 24 contemporary Spanish composers and commissioning them to write a composition using them as references, adding new creativity to Chopin's masterpieces. This album includes all of the 24 Preludes and 12 selected works by Spanish composers that were performed at the festival. This is the debut album by Lithuanian pianist Egrey Andrejevaitė, who brilliantly contrasts historical inspiration with contemporary creativity. Tokyo M Plus
