The American chart-topping super band, the Foreigner, dominated the U.S. charts from the late 70s through the 80s. This year's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame traces the band's glorious history and brings together their hits and classic songs, literally "jukebox heroes," with additional unreleased tracks that have been buried for many years. Formed in 1976 by Mick Jones (ex-SPOOKY TOOTH) and Ian McDonald (ex-KING CRIMSON), they were a mixed Anglo-American supergroup that gained attention at the time of their formation. Since their debut album "FOREIGNER" in 1997, the group has produced numerous hit songs, earned 10 multi-platinum discs, sold over 80 million albums worldwide, and established themselves as one of the biggest-selling bands of all time. In 2024, the band will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and a best-of album tracing their glorious career will be released.The songs from the band's 1977 debut album, "FOREIGNER", include such U.S. Top 10 rock hits as "Feels Like The Fist Time", "Cold As Ice", "Hot Blooded", "Double Vision", and "Urgent", as well as the U.S. #2 hit "Waiting For A Girl Like You" and the U.S. #1 hit "Girl Like You". Double Vision," and "Urgent," as well as the #2 U.S. hit "Waiting For A Girl Like You" and the #1 U.S. hit "I Want To Know What Love Is. I Want To Know What Love Is," which reached No. 1 in the U.S., and many other hit numbers that colored the charts in the '70s and '80s are featured.
