Monieuszko, the "Father of Polish Opera", presents his opera in one act, "Words of a Nobleman"! World premiere recording on period instruments! This is an opera recording project by the masters of Italian classical music, Fabio Biondi & Europa Galante, released on the independent label of the Polish National Institute of Chopin (NIFC). Following the previous releases of "Halka" (NIFCCD082083), "Raft Rider" (NIFCCD086), and "Countess" (NIFCCD089090) by Stanislaw Monieuszko (1819-1872), a composer of the Polish National Music School, this new release includes the one-act opera "Words of a Nobleman" composed around 1860. The "Words of a Nobleman," an opera in one act composed circa 1860. The "Words of a Nobleman," written about a year after "The Countess," was premiered in Warsaw on January 1, 1861, by Monieuszko, also known as the "father of Polish opera," and although a small-scale comic opera, it was a huge success, drawing large crowds to subsequent performances. It was a great success, drawing large crowds to subsequent performances. Although today it is rarely performed in the shadow of "Halka" and "The Countess," it is considered by critics to be one of the most mature examples of Polish operatic comics.The recording was made as part of the "Chopin and His European International Music Festival" in 2021, and like previous releases, this is the world premiere recording on period instruments.
