The second complete collection of choral works by 20th century Danish composer Sven S. Schluss! Composer Sven Simon Schluss is one of those who left his mark on 20th century Danish music. The Aarhus University Choir and Jonas Rasmussen have launched a project to record Schluss's a cappella choral works on five discs. This second collection includes "Little Spring Songs," a song about the arrival of spring in Denmark; "Four English Songs," a poem in Danish by Hans Hartvig Södöf-Pesasen; "Eight Songs for A Cappella Chorus The Aarhus University Choir, founded in 1985, consists of between 20 and 35 members, The choir has been professionally active as an amateur choir in the musical environment of Aarhus University and the Aarhus Royal Academy of Music (Jullan Conservatory).Born in 1992, conductor Jonas Rasmussen studied at the Royal College of Music Stockholm under Fredrik Malmberg and Mats Nilsson, graduating with a B.Mus. He holds an Honors Master's degree from Cambridge University, where he studied with Stephen Layton and Tim Brown, and has completed soloist classes at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus with Carsten Saier-Hansen and Seán K. Hansen, where he is currently the conductor of the Aarhus University Choir. Tokyo M-Plus
