The group "OUTPUT / INPUT" was formed by bassist, composer, producer, and arranger MELVIN LEE DAVIS, co-writer of the theme song "Soul Train's A Comin" for the legendary music show "Soul Train" and co-writer of the song "Soul Train's A Comin" for CHAKA KHAN. and is also the musical director of CHAKA KHAN. He has also worked with many of the greatest soul and jazz musicians, including GEORGE BENSON, LEE RITENOUR, GEORGE DUKE, and WILL DOWNING, so how could the group he formed not be good? The single released on the prestigious EXPANSION label in 2022 was highly acclaimed by UK soul fans. Each member of the group is also active internationally, and their abilities are well documented.ANTONIO MCLENDON, lead vocalist on "Someone I Used To Love," "Smilin' Faces," and "I'm In Love," has performed with JAMES INGRAM, TATA VEGA, GLADYS KNIGHT, DONNA SUMMER BRENT CARTER, current vocalist of AVERAGE WHITE BAND and former member of TOWER OF POWER, and AUDREY WHEELER- who has worked with UNLIMITED TOUCH and CHAKA KHAN- on "Here We Go Again. Downing, who has worked with UNLIMITED TOUCH and CHAKA KHAN. Also included is a re-recorded version of O'BRYAN's 1982 "Doin' Alright," one of the most popular 80's soul songs, with horns and strings. This one features O'BRYAN himself and will be a delight for soul fans of yesteryear." The horn section, which calls itself "Triple H Horns," is also worth mentioning.The three members are NICK MEAD (TRUMPET), JACOB SHAW (SAXOPHONE), and PATRICK HAYES (TROMBONE), and they are joined by a horn section that is sought after by composers and producers around the world to create the best grooves. This is the first album of the best group composed of an ironclad lineup, one that is not only for UK Soul fans but also for all Soul music lovers!
