The heavy metal/hard rock movement, which had been a global music movement since the early 1980s, expanded and became active even in Scandinavia, which was said to be a barren land for this type of music. In 1983, the band released the album "Europe", which was a hit not only in their home country of Sweden but also in Japan, and they became a new hard rock band. The band followed up their 1986 mega-hit album "The Final Countdown" with the highly anticipated new album "Out Of This World," which reached No. 19 on the U.S. album charts and was awarded a platinum disc. The band once again embarked on a 103-show world tour from 1988 to 1990 that took them through Asia, Japan, North America, Europe, and South America. The tour culminated in a rock festival in Chile on February 25/26, 1990, with Europe as the headliner. The two-day concert was broadcast in South American countries.This is a live album using the sound source used for the TV broadcast of the first day of the concert, and it includes the complete concert of the day, including two encores. As this was the first performance in South America, it was one of the most audience-enthralling performances of the European concerts to date. This live album documents the band at its peak, including a sound performance featuring Joey Tempest's dramatic high-tone vocals and the band's melodic melodies. Bonus track includes a performance at the same venue on the day after the recording of this album.
