Luigi Ana Da Boys

Description:

British Rock's Missing Link! Long-awaited CD reissue of a rare UK hard rock album with twin lead guitar aesthetics reminiscent of Thin Lizzy and Wishbone Ash! Luigi Ana Da Boys was formed in Leeds, England by guitarist and singer Duncan McFarlane. Their musical style, reminiscent of Thin Lizzy and Wishbone Ash, was alien to the club/pub scene at the time when punk and new wave were on the rise, but the band gained a cult following among a dedicated audience. They pressed 1,000 copies of a white-jacketed promotional album containing studio demos, and "Feeling the Ceiling" is the album that unearthed the material and resurrected it for the 21st century. Horror Suite" (M1) is a ten-and-a-half-minute epic with a hard and fast intro reminiscent of Gunn's "Devil's Heaven," before plunging into a progressive development. Great anachronisms are carried through everywhere until the folk-minded last song "Jacuse" (M8), with its uniquely British wet melodies, strong instrumentation, and phrases that follow the style of British trad.Coincidentally, at about the same time in London, Iron Maiden started their activities as the same twin-guitar band, proving that they were one of the roots of the dawn of the heavy metal boom (N.W.O.B.H.M.) that began at the end of the 1970s. Although Luigi Ana da Boys broke up after failing to secure a record deal at the time, Duncan continued to work as a musician, and a reunion show in 2012 brought new attention to the group. In addition, in 2015, a two-disc album of self-covers, "Revisiting The Ceiling," was released, featuring songs from "Feeling The Ceiling" and songs that were unrecorded at the time. Although they were branded as old school in the music scene of the late 1970s, their sharp twin leads and wet melodies have never aged in the 21st century. They are proud of their sharp twin leads, wet melodies, etc., which have not aged at all in the 21st century. The band has been playing reunion shows on an irregular basis, and will take the stage in Otley, Leeds in 2024, so Luigi's music has a timeless sound.
