The second Blu-ray volume of the anime "Knights of Sidonia: The Battle of the Ninth Planet", which began airing in April 2015 on the Anime-ism slot. The solar system has been destroyed by the Kiiko, an alien creature that cannot be interacted with. A portion of the human race barely survived and chose to travel through space, reproducing on the giant spaceship Cydonia, whose hull was made from an asteroid. About 1,000 years later, in 1009 A.D., Cydonia set sail. Nagamichi Tanikaze, a boy raised in seclusion in the lowest strata of society, leaves for the city upon the death of his grandfather. Nagamichi becomes a trainee pilot of the humanoid weapon "Eijin" and engages in battle against Gauna with his friends. Nagamichi enrolls in a training school for pilots of the humanoid giant armor Eijin, where he comes into contact with people other than his grandfather for the first time. Nagamichi first becomes aware of the opposite sex in the form of a girl named Hoshihaku Kankan, who becomes his first friend. Isana Ketose, a person who is neither male nor female, becomes Nagamichi's first friend. Kigami Kairio, a boy who is frustrated by Nagamichi's activities. While living at school with various trainees, Chodo and his friends are finally given their first mission. It was not supposed to be a difficult mission. But suddenly, Kiiko appears in front of them.What will humanity and Chodo choose to do in their first encounter with a threat in 100 years? The battle for the survival of the human race begins now... Includes episodes 3 and 4 of the TV broadcast. Includes a file of portraits from "Sidonia Hyakkei", a booklet, and four types of portraits from "Sidonia Hyakkei".
