His book "The Basics of City Pop" (Seikaisha Shinsho) has been in heavy circulation. (Seikaisha Shinsho) has been reprinted in many editions, and music writer Hitoshi Kurimoto, who also appears on TV and radio, has selected the Victor edition of the Japanese crossover/fusion compilation series "CROSSOVER CITY" for this analog release.
The compilation focuses on music released from the late 70's to the 80's, from major artists such as Terumasa Hino and Sadao Watanabe, who are well-known to all music fans, to hidden masterpieces, which city pop fans and Japanese mono DJs will also like. The selections are not limited to famous or representative songs, but are focused on "songs that are fresh and new to listen to now.
The cover design is by Stereo Tennis, a popular graphic designer with an 80s taste.
