In a departure from his previous work, which focused on French music, Lislevand now focuses on composers active in Germany and England in the 18th century, and combines the lute (and theorbo), which, like the gamba, had already passed its prime and was dying out, with the newly popularized fortepiano to create "Autumn in the History of the Viola da Gamba," an album that reveals the incomparable charms of the viola da gamba. The unparalleled charm of the "Viola da gamba" will be explored. The rich, humanistic musicality of the unaccompanied works such as Telemann's Fantasia and Abel's Pieces with Passion, as well as the taste of the pre-classical sonatas by C.P.E.
