The second masterpiece album recorded in the U.S. and backed by the Grease Band! Joe Cocker, a one and only rock singer from Sheffield, England, released his first album "With A Little Help From My Friends" in 1969, when his performance at the Woodstock Festival attracted a great deal of attention. This is the second album released by Joe Cocker. Recorded at A&M Studios and Sunset Sound Studios in California, the second album was produced by Leon Russell and featured a wide variety of songs that would later be featured on Mad Dogs & Englishmen. The band featured Chris Stainton, Henry McCullough, Sneaky Pete, Alan Spenner, Bruce Rowland, and other members of the Grease Band, along with guests Clarence White, Paul Humphrey, Mary Clayton, Bonnie Bramlett, Rita Coolidge, and many others. This is truly an encounter between the British and American swamp sounds. Bonus tracks include an additional single that was not included on the album. Includes obi commentary.
