Yurina is happy.

Description:

Joy and Shadows The second CD by Yurina Kageetsu includes Schumann's Piano Sonatas No. 2 and No. 1, and together with her debut recording of No. 3, the three Schumann piano sonatas are now complete. Schumann's first sonata, No. 1, is labeled in the first edition as "Piano Sonata by Florestan and Eusebius, dedicated to Clara," which is a secret reference to Schumann's name. Florestan and Eusebius are Schumann's alter egos, representing Schumann's emotional and contemplative sides, and symbolizing Schumann, who is said to be divided. Clara, to whom the dedication was given, later became Schumann's wife, but Wieck, Clara's father and Schumann's teacher, strongly interfered with their relationship, which even resulted in a court case. However, Clara responded to Schumann's wishes by playing the dedicated sonata at a recital in Leipzig in August 1837, two years after it was composed, and shortly afterward she agreed to marry him in a letter. The second sonata took eight years from 1830 to 1838, and was completed with advice from Clara, and is said to be Schumann's most sophisticated sonata.Yurina Tetsu and others have also written commentaries on this CD, describing the second sonata as "an eye-opening experience in terms of the depth of content and condensed spirituality. Schumann's joy of sound is at the same time a shadow, and expressing these two contradictory aspects of Schumann in a single sound demands a rare sensitivity and talent from the performer. To express Schumann's two contradictory sides in a single sound demands a rare sensitivity and talent from the performer, and Yurina Tetsu has answered that demand with aplomb. In 2019, she will release her debut CD "Schumann: Sonata No. 3, Brahms: Chaconne for the Left Hand" from N&F. It was selected as a semi-selected disc by "Record Geijutsu" and a specially recommended disc by Mainichi Newspaper. In the same year, he began a series of performances of Beethoven's complete piano sonatas, which was broadcast as a documentary by NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation). In addition to many recitals, he has performed with orchestras such as the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, and the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra. He won the 2nd Prize, Iwatani Prize (Audience Prize), and Miyake Prize at the 86th Japan Music Competition. He was awarded the Special Prize of the Deliberation Committee at the 4th Takamatsu International Piano Competition. She won the 1st Prize and the Grand Prix in the High School Division of the 20th Japan Classical Music Competition.First prize winner of the 11th Osaka International Music Competition and the 14th Rosenstock International Piano Competition; performed in front of the Imperial Palace at the Momoka Gakudo in 2015; received the 2017 Kagawa Prefecture Newcomer Award for Culture and Art.
