Description:

Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt, located on the shores of Lake Oder in Brandenburg, Germany, was formed in 1971 through the merger of the Christ's Opera Orchestra and the Frankfurt Orchestra. In 1990, Nikos Athineos assumed the position of Chief Conductor, and in 1995, the orchestra was given the status of a national orchestra as the "Frankfurter Staatsorchester Frankfurt" after a spectacular artistic breakthrough under his direction. In 1995, the orchestra achieved the status of a national orchestra as the "Frankfurter Staatsorchester". The orchestra has successfully toured Germany and Europe, including the Berlin Philharmonic and Konzerthaus in Berlin, and has performed with leading artists such as Gidon Kremer (violin), Mstislav Rostropovich (cello), and Anatole Ugolski (piano). Anatole Ugolski (piano), and others. The orchestra has also been actively releasing CDs of works by composers active in the 19th and 20th centuries, and its CD of works by Boris Bracher won the French record prize "Gold Diapason D'OR" (Diapason D'OR), which created a sensation. The orchestra has performed in Japan three times in 2001, 2005, and 2019, and is attracting worldwide attention as an orchestra that will lead the next generation. Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Hall Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt The concert hall named after Carl Philipp Emanuel, the second son of J.S. Bach, was once a church attached to a Franciscan monastery, built around 1270. The church underwent extensive repairs under King Friedrich Wilhelm I in 1735-36, and was later enlarged and remodeled after the Great War to become the Concert Hall it is today. Since its opening, the concert hall has continued to tell an impressive story, and since 1995 it has been home to the Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt. The hall, where many internationally renowned performers have made guest appearances, has excellent acoustics and provides a very natural and warm sound field.
