Description:

You know who I'm talking about! The long-awaited first Blu-ray release of the animated version of the comic strip about the vice shogun under the rule of Mitsukuni Mito (Mito Komon), commemorating the 40th anniversary of the broadcast of the series! The special features include the pilot version of "Manga Mito Komon," which is being shown for the first time, as well as the pilot versions of two rare works from the Nack project ("Japanese Folk Tales: Kasajizo" and "Japanese Folk Tales: Issunboushi")! Based on the timelessly popular "Mito Komon (Mitsukuni Mito) Mangyo-ki" (Mito Komon: Mitsukuni Mito), this is a painful period drama anime in which the well-known Mito Komon, a friend of the common people, boldly stands up against evil. His companion Sukesan is a scholarly and handsome second-class samurai, while Tadasu is a third-class samurai with a strong arm but a headstrong personality. The little ninja Sutemaru and the adorable Okoto-chan also join them on their journey to solve crimes. The original negative film was restored and remastered in HD using HD negative telecine for the Blu-ray release! The only animated version that follows the format of the live-action period drama "Mito Komon"! In addition to the pilot version of "Manga Mito Komon," which is being shown for the first time, the film also includes the rare pilot versions of two other NAK projects ("Japanese Folk Tales: Kasa Jizo" and "Japanese Folk Tales: Issunboushi") as video extras!Character design is by Keisuke Morishita, who worked on "Great Mazinger" and other works. Legendary TV animation that was introduced on variety shows and became the talk of the town! Chanbara! Chambara! The theme song "Chambara!" is also impressive. The dubbed version of "Manga Mito Komon" broadcast in Iran became very popular as a Japanese hero called "Michiko Man". First broadcast: September 3, 1981 - July 15, 1982 on Tokyo 12 Channel (now TV Tokyo), etc. Due to the original version, episodes 34, 35, 39, 41, 42, 44, and 46 do not include the ending. Please note that the next preview is not included in episodes 1, 2, 3, and 14. Please be aware that due to the original edition, some of the images may have scratches, uneven coloring, dirt, etc., which are difficult to correct.
