This video shows "Carmen," directed by the master Zeffirelli, performed in June 2014. The cast of singers was well rounded, and Carmen was played by Ekaterina Semenchuk. She is petite, but her rich singing voice, which makes the most of her strong presence, is impressive. Carlo Ventre, who sings Don Jose, also delivers a powerful performance.
