With his genius sensitivity and overwhelming power of vision, imagination, creativity, and breakthroughs, Kawazoe's works spanning more than 40 years since the 1960s have left a deep mark on the history of music. He discovered the talents of Fukamachi Jun, Hosono Haruomi, Kosaka Tadashi, Arai Yumi (now Matsutoya Yumi), and others, produced the music of Yoshida Minako, Sato Takashi, and others, which is now recognized as "city pop" in the world, launched YMO into the world and made it a social phenomenon in Japan, and set a world record for music downloads with "Soba ni iru ne" (feat.
