Inheriting the spirit of his great father, Luther Allison, Bernard Allison has been pursuing the new blues, and this compilation of his father's legacy is the culmination of his 30-year career, from his debut album "Hang On" in 1992 to his latest album "Highs & Lows". This album is the culmination of his 30 years of consistently featuring classic Luther songs such as "Bad Love," "Life Is A Bitch," and "Let's Try It Again"! Bernard Allison was born in Chicago in 1965. As the ninth child of Luther Allison, he was introduced to the blues and guitar at an early age by his father, and had his first recording experience with his father at the age of 13. After high school, he joined Koko Taylor and Willie Dixon's band, and in 1983, he made his first appearance as a member of his father's band at the highlight of the Chicago Blues Festival. In 1989, he moved to Paris with his father, and in 1990, he released his first solo album, "The Next Generation".Since then, he has consistently released one album a year, and in 2007, he moved his label to Jazzhaus Records and released four albums; in 2018, he returned to his old home, RUF Records, and released "Let It Go". He then joined RUF's annual "Blues Caravan" tour, releasing "Songs from the Road (CD+DVD)" in 2020 and "Highs & Lows" in 2022.
