Joel Hoekstra's solo project, reigning as one of hard rock's top guitarists. The in-demand musician, who has played with numerous bands, now releases his fourth album! Joel Hoekstra was born in Iowa in December 1970. He played instruments like piano from a young age, but was profoundly impacted by AC/DC's Angus Young's guitar playing, leading him to pursue a career as a guitarist. Primarily active as a session musician, Joel gained significant attention in the 2000s after releasing three solo albums. His breakthrough came in 2008 when he secured the guitarist position with NIGHT RANGER. He continued as NIGHT RANGER's guitarist while also maintaining his session work. In 2014, he left NIGHT RANGER and joined WHITESNAKE. He now reigns as one of the top guitarists in the current hard rock scene. Alongside his work with WHITESNAKE and his session activities, Joel launched his solo project, JOEL HOEKSTRA'S 13. This fourth album features frontman Girish Pradhan (vocals), Vinnie Appice (drums) known for his work with BLACK SABBATH and DIO, Tony Franklin (bass) known for his work with THE FIRM and BLUE MURDER, Derek Sherinian (keyboards) of DREAM THEATER, and Jeff Scott Soto (backing vocals).
