Description:
A collection of organ works by composers active in central Germany during the 19th century. In addition to Mendelssohn, the collection includes works by the unusual composers Christian Heinrich Link (1770-1846), Gustav Adolf Merkel (1827-1885), and August Gottfried Ritter (1811-1885). Christopher Lichtenstein was born in 1984 in Herzberg. Although based in his hometown, he works freelance, which is unusual for an organist who is often attached to a church. He uses an organ built by Konrad Geissler in 1895, which was installed in a church in Ubigau, Brandenburg, eastern Germany. Tobu Land System
