Conceived in 2006 by GUN CLUB guitarist CYPRESS GROVE, this is the fourth in a series of Sessions projects designed to highlight Jeffrey Lee Pierce as one of America's most compelling and influential singer-songwriters, while at the same time bringing his work into the hands of former collaborators, friends, and fans. This is the fourth installment in the Sessions Project series, which aims to bring his work into the modern age. The participating members are superb, including Nick Cave, Debbie Harry, Mark Lanegan, Lydia Lunch, Youth, Jim Jones, Warren Ellis, Mark Stewart, Hugo Race, Cypress himself, and Amber Lights. Jeffrey's songs from Gun Club to his solo period are revived under new interpretations.
