Description:
Organist Chris Foreman is a Chicago legend who Peter Margasak of the Chicago Reader called Chicago's most exciting and under-recorded organist. Guitarist Bobby Broom is featured on this CD - his bio lists Sonny Rollins, Miles Davis and Dr. John as previous associations, but this CD will place him alongside other great guitarists in the organ combo setting like George Benson, Wes Montgomery and Grant Green. This CD also includes the talents of Greg Rockingham who has played drums with Kenny Burrell, Charles Earland and Ellis Marsalis. Formed in 1992, Deep Blue Organ Trio has appeared weekly at Chicago's Green Mill since April 2003. This is Foreman's first album as (co)leader.
