Jean-Joseph de Mondonville (1711-1772) was a French musician of the 18th century, known for his eponymous "Grand Motets" and the technical "Violin Sonata Op.1". Despite his outstanding compositional skills, Mondonville's "Trio Sonata Op.2" has never had the opportunity to see the light of day.
