Modigliani Quartet
Description:
New recordings by the Modigliani String Quartet, the youngest quartet you need to hear right now! The Modigliani String Quartet has been making its presence felt in recent years with the remarkable emergence of young quartets. The four members, who hit it off at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, began performing together in 2003. Since then, the quartet has been invited to perform in the world's most prestigious halls and music festivals, and has expanded its activities. The new album, recorded in March 2015, features the quartets of Dvořák, Bartók, and Dohnányi, and the quartets of Dvořák, Bartók, and Dohnányi. Dvorak, Bartok, and Dohnányi, and features string quartets by Eastern European composers. String Quartet No. 12 is one of the works Dvořák composed during his three-year stay in the United States. This popular piece has a bright, hopeful tone with a hint of nostalgia for the Czech Republic.Modigliani's propulsive and lucid performance makes for a very enjoyable listening experience. Bartók's String Quartet No. 2 was composed over a period of 17 years from 1915 and represents a transitional period in his creative career. The folkloric aspect of the piece is vividly presented with Modigliani's superb technique. Then there is the String Quartet No. 3 by Dohnányi, the last Hungarian Romantic composer. The quartet is impressive for its lively neoclassical style and sweet, beautiful melody with a strong Hungarian flavor. Modigliani's heartfelt performance draws the listener in. King International
