One of the best big bands in France pays tribute to Jaco Pastorius. Jaco is played by Billeri Lagrane, a hero of the French jazz world! Billeri, who was considered a child prodigy immediately after his debut and played with Jaco before he was 20 years old, is packed with superb virtuosity! The ironclad numbers of Word of Mouth are vividly brought back to life in this exciting performance! This is a Jaco Pastorius tribute project by Multiquarium Big Band, one of the best big bands in France. The highlight of this project is that it features Billericay Lagrane! Born in 1966, Billeri Lagrane is a veteran of the Manouche-Roma family and has played with Stéphane Grappelli and many other greats in the field of Manouche swing. At the age of 14, he performed in Montreux, and at 19, he met and performed with Jaco Pastorius for a year and a half, He also toured and released his own works.This project (this work) is groundbreaking because such Birelli plays the role of Jaco, not on the guitar, but on the fretless bass. Such a Birelli! His superb technique is well-known, but this is still an amazing performance! Jaco's big band, "Word of Mouth Big Band," which made his dream come true in his later years, plays the classic songs "Liberty City," "Invitation," "Continuum," "Teen Town," "Three of a Secret," ... and many more! The technique and groove of this album is so cool that it will make you swoon in agony! Even the shuffle blues "Fannie Mae" is a real sigh of relief. In between the performances, Peter Erskine, drummer for Weather Report and Word of Mouth, talks about Jaco on ・・・・・!
