Nagoya HYBRID KILLER POP! The long-awaited and highly anticipated split 7inch produced by these two long-time allies will finally be released to the world! This is the second XERO FICTION split 7inch, and it took about 3 years from conception to realization. Both bands have included a cover of THE SICK from Tsuyama led by Koshi, who was a friend of both bands and regrettably left the year before last. The XERO FICTION side is "Punky Boy!" which will betray your expectations in a good way the moment you drop the needle. The world of "Punky Boy!" is a world where the filter of Kansai punk from the late 90's to early 00's is applied to the royal road of UK82. However, it is not just a rehash of the same old thing; the core of Haruka and Kouichirou's sound is there, and it is painful and exhilarating. The cover song "Hope" is so boldly arranged that one moment loses sight of the original. Anyway, all the sounds are very gentle. The message to Koshi is also very touching, and you can't help but cry. The arrangement is so wonderful that you feel warmth rather than sadness. SKIZOPHRENIA! Sick pt. 2 (this is a song by Schizo, which is confusing! Sick pt. 2 (this one is by Schizo, for goodness sake!) is a live attack punk that will have you pumping your fists in the air in front of the turntables. This forward speed is exactly what Schizo is all about! The song "Dodöd" covered by Schizo is a song that has never been released on CD. I used to hear this song at the early live performances of THE SICK, but when Schizo plays it, it becomes Schizo, which is a traditional art. This song is the one of the two miracles produced in the land of Tsuyama. The jacket is a simple one with THE SICK's symbolic weathercock, the band's name, and the title of the song, but the artwork, which looks like CRUX's "Keep On Running E.P." (I don't know if this was the intention), is also very atmospheric. So, please check out this vinyl full of punk and love, featuring covers of two of the best bands by two of the best bands, with your ears and your heart!
