Deez Nuts

Description:

Australia's leading hardcore band = Deez Nuts The long-awaited seventh album "Saudade" by the new band Deez Nuts started in Melbourne in 2007 as a project of JJ Peters, former drummer of I Killed The Prom Queen, and has now become one of Australia's leading hardcore bands. The band's sound is a mix of hardcore, metal, punk, and hip-hop, and they have built a solid reputation for their live shows that push the audience to the limit. Six years after their last album, "You Got Me Fucked Up" (2019), Deez Nuts' seventh album, "Saudade," is a powerful turning point that has accelerated the band's momentum even further. Behind this is a renewal of the band's members.Vocalist JJ Peters and guitarist Real Bad are joined by Portuguese bassist Apolinario "Poli" Correia (Devil In Me) and Canadian drummer Jesse Labovitz (No Warning). The band has entered a new chapter. The new lineup worked immediately in the live setting. The new lineup worked right away live, and it worked great in the studio, too. Each member brought their musical career and songwriting ability from previous bands to bring a new flavor and depth to the Deez Nuts sound," says JJ, "and you can feel the strong chemistry in Saudade. This is the fourth album produced by Comeback Kid frontman Andrew Neufeld, who JJ describes as "not only a close friend and respected business associate, but also an integral part of the band's recording process. The band gathered at Eyeball Studios in Portugal in January 2025 and finished writing and recording the songs for the album in less than a month. Mastering was then done in Brooklyn, New York by Jon Markson. The title of the album, "Saudade," is a Portuguese word meaning nostalgia, longing, and yearning for things gone by, lost people, places, and the past. The band members' introspective thoughts and deep emotions are hidden behind the intense sound of the album. Kill This Shit," released in April prior to the album's release, is a song that strikes a powerful blow to the world and signals the start of a new chapter on a high note. It is sure to convince fans who have been waiting for the new album for a long time, as well as listeners who are new to the band's sound. <Deez Nuts> ■JJ Peters - Vocals ■Matthew Rogers (a.k.a. Real Bad) - Guitar ■Apolinario "Poli "Correia - bass guitar ■Jesse Labovitz - Drums
