Canadian technical death metal band BENEATH THE MASSACRE returns to the scene with their first album in 8 years, "Fearmonger"! Montreal, Canada-based technical death metal band BENEATH THE MASSACRE is back on the scene with their debut album "Mechanics of Dysfunction" on the prestigious Prosthetic label in 2007. The following year, the band released "Dystopia", a new album that was released on the same label in 2007, and attracted a lot of attention as a newcomer with a high level of playing technique and an incredibly high potential. The following year, they released "Dystopia", followed by "Incongruous" in 2012, and continued to make rapid progress, emerging as a force to be reckoned with in the technical death scene. The band also toured Japan with Germany's OBSCURA that year, but a long period of inactivity followed, according to Ellot, as some members had to focus on school and work, and Dennis and Elliot had health problems. The band was in danger of not even being able to continue. The band was in danger of not even continuing, but the three brothers and old friends met from time to time to write songs together. The result was the release of their fourth album, "Fearmonger".The current album is a marvel of explosive power and unpredictable, anomalous beats that easily breaks the eight-year long silence. Since its inception, the relationship between the Bradley brothers Christopher and Dennis on strings and Elliot Desgagnes, vocalist and best friend of the two, has remained steadfast. Anthony Barone, who joined the band in 2019 to replace Patrice Hamelin, who left to focus on his work with veteran Canadian death metal band GORGUTS, is another notable talent. He is also gaining recognition as the divine drummer of BABYMETAL. Anthony is also the drummer for the symphonic death metal band SHADOW OF INTENT from Connecticut, USA. This album is another example of the band's ability to showcase their unique sound. The band's sound is both bizarre and highly addictive, with Christopher's twisted mind at the heart of the band's sound and the air of Montreal's open-minded musical community. Working from 9am to 5pm every day has given us the desire to genuinely play music to the fullest," said Elliot.It helped us get back into the underground music and scene that we were drawn to. We just want to get back into that scene and work with people who are passionate about it." With a pure love of music and a wicked sound in a mere 30 minutes, "Fearmonger" is an overwhelming work of dizzying hell!
