This is Aussie punk at its finest! Amir and the Sniffers have released their first new album in three years, "Cartoon Darkness" on Rough Trade! Amir and the Sniffers have released their first new album in three years, "Cartoon Darkness" on the Rough Trade label. The album was recorded in early 2024 at the Foo Fighters' Studios 606 in Los Angeles, where Nirvana's "Nevermind" and Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" were once recorded, with producer Nick Roney (Nick Cave, Idols, and Ya Ya Ya's). This is the band's third album overall, having previously released two albums, Amyl and the Sniffers (2019) and Comfort to Me (2021).With their last album, "Comfort to Me", the band reached the number two spot on the Australian charts and won the Best Rock Album and Best Group awards at the ARIA Music Awards (a music award honoring excellence in the Australian music industry). And now, after touring the world, including here in Japan, performing at some of the world's biggest festivals such as Glastonbury, and supporting the Foo Fighters last year, these garage punk revolutionaries are releasing "Cartoon Darkness".
