This year's 40th anniversary edition will feature "THE BROADSWORD AND THE BEAST," Jethro Tull's 14th studio album released in 1982.Since their debut, the band has consistently combined elements of folk and British trad with progressive rock to create a unique musical worldview that has made a strong presence in the history of British music, but in 1980 they began to boldly incorporate electronic synthesizer sounds, The 1980 album "A" is said to have caused controversy among fans due to its new direction. The follow-up to "A" was "THE BROADSWORD AND THE BEAST". This album, which combines the synthesizer sounds of the previous album with Jethro Tull's unique folk, rock, and progressive rock sounds, along with Ian Anderson's unmistakable and unique flute melodies and strong narrative storytelling, has been highly acclaimed and has been a fan favorite for a long time. The album has been a fan favorite for a long time. The album has also reached the Top 20 in the U.S. and Top 40 in the U.K.THE BROADSWORD AND THE BEAST (THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY VINYL EDITION)" consists of four analog discs, with LP1 featuring a new remix by Steven Wilson, who has become a familiar face on this "40th Anniversary" project. LP2 and LP3 feature Steven Wilson's new remixes of material from the "THE BROADSWORD AND THE BEAST" sessions recorded between March 1981 and January 1982. LP4 contains 10 tracks from "The Maison Rouge Demos," a collection of demos featuring many rare recordings. Jethro Tull's development of his own musical worldview on THE BROADSWORD AND THE BEAST, which incorporates the sound technology of the era while also embracing the traditions of British trad and folk, is a reflection of their current attitude.The 40th anniversary of the album's release will bring new discoveries about the album and its era, from its production process to new remixes with a new sound, as well as live recordings from the time.
