Jacqueline du Pré, a popular female cellist prodigy who made numerous recordings for the former EMI, was acclaimed by the New York Times in 1967 as "clearly born to play the cello," and only five years later, at the young age of 28, she was diagnosed with a tragic and incurable disease and died at age 42. Her career was tragically cut short by the disease. Her career was tragically cut short by her illness. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of her death, we are reissuing her masterpieces as analog LPs in limited quantities, using 24bit/96kHz remastered sound sources (except for LP4) from the original master tapes at Abbey Road Studios for the 2011 Japan-exclusive SACD release. The performance of "Don Quixote" on "LP4" was discovered in the 1990s after her death, conducted by Boult, and is said to have been a one-time performance without another take. The four LPs, except for LP4, are packaged in a slipcase with the original design. 180g analog LP version. This is a limited-quantity production set for the first time only, at a very reasonable price for analog LPs. Warner Music Japan
