Tiffany Poon, a pianist of the new generation, is now releasing her debut album on the PENTATONE label, "Diary of a Schumann" on double vinyl! Born in Hong Kong in 1996, Tiffany Poon showed exceptional talent from an early age, entering the pre-college at Juilliard School at the age of 8. At the age of 10, Tiffany Poon made her solo debut at the prestigious Juilliard School. In 2014, she was selected for the National YoungArts program in the U.S. She has also studied at the prestigious Columbia University and the Juilliard School, where she studied with renowned pianists such as Emanuel Ax and Joseph Kalikstein. Since then, she has had great success in concert tours around the world, including the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, the United States, Canada, Singapore, and Hong Kong. He is currently active in solo and chamber music and posts his performances on YouTube and Instagram. He is immensely popular among his peers.The "Children's Scenes," "Arabesques," and "Dances of the League of David" are representative of Schumann's works for solo piano. These are piano works filled with the ambition of Schumann in his late 20s, when he began to write many works, and each piece is a masterpiece with a completely different character. The "David League Dances" is a collection of 18 dances. The Davidic League is a fictional alliance in which Schumann, a self-proclaimed fighter of the Romantic school, expresses himself against the snobbishness of the time, inspired by the story of David fighting against the Philistines, and was dedicated to Walter von Goethe, grandson of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. The booklet is tailored by Poon like a diary (Diaries) and includes a description of each piece along with his own poem. Poon, who was in his late 20s when Schumann composed the works, gives a life-size performance.
