The band, which was described as "the gospel version of Death Grips" upon its debut, continues its innovative and intense post-punk sound with a one-of-a-kind style that swallows everything from Northern Soul to gospel to industrial, resulting in an album that is more epic and takes the genre in a direction that further expands on its unexplored roots. The result is a work of art.The album is produced by Randall Dunn (Sun O, Earth) and Ben Greenberg (The Men, Zs), and from the instant synth pulse heard in the first few seconds, it is clear that Algiers has ventured to the next level, both internally and sonically. At the forefront of this evolution is the power that resides in Algiers' multi-instrumentalist and lead vocalist Franklin James Fischer, whose voice and words form the backbone of the album. This time, the LP will include a bonus 7-inch, and the limited import LP will be released on clear vinyl.
