The Erik Eriksson Chamber Choir was founded in 1945 by the 27-year-old Erik Eriksson, and has been active on the Swedish and international music scene since then. 2012, Sweden's Fredrik Malmberg was elected chief conductor, succeeding Eriksson, who has conducted the choir with guest conductors from many countries. and conducts the choir together with other guest conductors from around the world. On the new album, the choir sings a program of a cappella works in contemporary, accessible styles by American or American-born composers. Samuel Barber says, "My aim is to write good music that as many people as possible can understand," and he has created many post-romantic orchestral works such as "Adagio for Strings," "Violin Concerto," and "Knoxville: Summer 1915. Reincarnations is a triptych based on a Gaelic poem by Antoine de Raftery (1779-1835), which James Stevens (1880-1950) translated into modern English.Mary Hines," a poem that "thrills the heart of a man," "Antony O'Daly," which mourns the death of an unjustly condemned hero, and "My Lovely," in which the hair curls in little curls at the back of the neck, are all part of Barber's popular choral repertoire. This is one of Barber's well-loved choral works. Jeff Beal is one of Hollywood's most prolific composers of film scores, and became internationally known for his music for "House of Cards" (KKC-4144/5 / BIS SA-2299), a favorite of BIS Records' Mr. von Bahr. The Salvage Men was written against the backdrop of his personal pain. Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) and Kay Ryan (1945-), who is said to "enjoy logic and language in her own habitual way, like Emily Dickinson or Marian Moore. The text is based on a poem by Jeff Beale that he believes is "a completely new and current way of looking at the theme of transformation and our answer to pain."(1/2) King International
