A Bouquet of Moving Works Rivaling the “Symphony of Sorrows” Górecki, who took the world by storm with his “Symphony of Sorrows.” The piano was his most intimate instrument, and his works—spanning from 1955, when he first rose to prominence, through 2008—also symbolize the evolution of music from the 20th to the 21st century. Canadian pianist Jared Dunn, born in 1989, takes on the complete works. In the two-piano pieces, he performs alongside the composer’s beloved daughter, Anna Gretzka. The previously unpublished “Five Pieces, Op. 13” is also a rare treat. From the avant-garde to the serene, Dunn masterfully recreates Gretzka’s personal and emotional world. Tokyo M Plus
