This year, the NIFC celebrates the 200th anniversary of Stanislaw Monieuszko's (1819-1872) birth. (1819-1872), whose bicentennial anniversary will be celebrated this year. The first version of the opera "Halka" was performed in two acts in 1848, and the revised version (Warsaw version) in four acts was performed in 1858.
