Description:
Among the many American rock bands, Journey became even more popular in Japan than in their home country. After vocalist Steve Perry joined the band, Journey steadily established itself as a popular rock band with each album release, and their July 1981 release "Escape" became the band's first No. 1 album on the U.S. album charts and sold over 10 million copies worldwide, making them a worldwide success. The band went on to become a worldwide success. In 1983, "Frontiers" was released and became a mega hit, spending nine consecutive weeks at No. 2 on the U.S. album chart. This led to a 111-show "Frontiers Tour," a Japan-U.S.-only tour. The July 21 concert in Norman, Oklahoma, was recorded and broadcast for the popular American music radio program "King Biscuit Flower Hour. This live album is based on the soundtrack used for the broadcast, and includes the encore and the complete concert.Having established their status as a top band, it goes without saying that the live performance of Journey that can be heard here is outstanding. This live album from the best period of Journey's career has rarely been released, and has been long awaited by fans.
