Description:
Tamotsu Kinoshita's footprints must be widely recognized as a vocalist, educator, choral conductor, and practitioner of Japanese-language performance. It is also closely linked with the history of choral culture up to the present day. This CD contains a glimmer of Kinoshita's gaze toward choral music, where words and music overlap, which he has continued to confront. This CD is a condensation of Kinoshita's thoughts and wishes. In Saburo Takada's "Four Seasons of the Heart," the tempo is a little fast, but he carefully spins the essence of the poem to express his prayer. In "Nobutoki," Kinoshita makes his unique assertion based on the "Yamato Kotoba" language. We must take in the remaining recordings of Kinoshita's thoughts and wishes for "words" and for "music" sublimated in his choral performances. Tatsuya Tonoshita (from the booklet commentary)
